    Teen Center Camps

High School members with current annual memberships can participate in day camps at no cost, but still are required to register so we can plan and staff accordingly.

    Registration

    • All registration for Day Camps takes place through the Parent Portal account.
    • BGCSM staff are available to assist parents with the registration process
    • Each member's application must be filled out online by a parent or guardian
    • Families who register for Day Camps are responsible for withdrawing a week prior to the start of any day camp in order to be considered for a full refund. This allows us to ensure adequate staffing levels and space for other families.
    • Payments are required for Day Camps at the time of registration or the child's space cannot be reserved.
    • Applications MUST BE FULLY PROCESSED through the Parent Portal in order to ensure your child has a space in camp. Any applications that are left on Draft are not complete and will not show on our roster on the day of camp.
  • Annual Memberships

Memberships must be renewed every school year. Each membership year begins the first day of Summer Day Camp and ends last day of the SMUSD school year (June 12, 2023 through June 5, 2024).

    • Elementary and Middle School members - $60

    • High School - $10

  • Financial Assistance

Members who are enrolled for the SMUSD Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) can attend day camps at no cost through the end of June 2024. Each member must still be registered online through the Parent Portal.

Members who do not qualify under ELOP have other options for financial assistance:

We encourage all families to apply for financial assistance programs through Child Development Associates (CDA) or YMCA Child Care, which will cover for Club program costs for eligible families. Eligibility is based on household income level.

    Program scholarships

    • Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos offers financial assistance to eligible families through the Great Futures Scholarship Fund. BGCSM follows a similar approval system as SMUSD's free or reduce lunch policy
    • If application for financial assistance through The Club is approved, a certain percentage will be taken off the weekly fee, and does take up to five business days to process.
    • Scholarships are only available for the following programs: Before/After School Transportation; sites at Double Peak, San Elijo Elementary, and San Elijo Middle; and Summer Day Camp. Scholarships cannot be applied towards daily or weekly Day Camps.
  • Club Closures

    Annual Auction

Every year BGCSM hosts an annual gala, fundraising to support our scholarship fund and keep program costs affordable to all families. Because the event takes place at our Jennifer Loscher Branch, we will be closed Friday, October 13, 2023. There will be no after school transportation or teen programs that day. We appreciate your understanding and support in making this event a success!

    Holidays

The Club is closed on major holidays like Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, etc. View and download the calendar below for all of the important dates this school year!
